At the end of 2011 will pass ceremony of delivery of Asian Gold Ice-axe award (Asian Piolet d’Or) in Seoul (South Korea). As became already usual, competent juries made of leaders mountaineers and journalists, will be summed up year among teams of the Asian countries. That is, within the limits of Festival organizers would like to designate the important achievements for the last year, priority directions in mountaineering and ways of their realisation. And it is final, to hand over a prize for the most actual, in the general opinion, an ascension of climbers of Asia, to state an estimation to interesting projects.
Under the information available for today to participation in Festival four commands for ascensions are invited:
1. Japan team - peak Daddongmain (6380m) first accent in China.
2. Korean team - peak Hunter (4410m) Moonflower Butrres climbing in Alaska.
3. Kazakhstan double - peak Prjevalskogo (6240m) W face and peak Pobedy (7439m) N face.
4. International team - peak Gasherbrum-2 (8035) the first winter ascent.
It is interesting, that sportsmen of Italy and USA will participate in the Asian competition. We can to remind, that in 2009 due Moro-Urubko considered for a winter ascent on Makalu as one of the main applicants, too participated in a nomination.
The festival Asian Gold Ice-axe award will pass with the interesting program of dialogue of sportsmen and the press. The Korean climbers long time show an example of enthusiasm and persistence in achievement of objects in view - it is possible to name an example new routes to Everest and Talay-Sagar. They are proved as experts on high-rise ascensions also. So, among 27 title holders «the Crown of the Himalayas» for ascensions on all fourteen tops above 8000 meters - five persons representatives of «the Country of Morning freshness».
Mountaineering clubs and other societies of South Korea include on some thousand participants, the climbing periodical press monthly leaves in thousand copies.
Actually, consideration of routes-nominees will pass in the morning on November, 04th. And by the developed tradition the same evening the owner Asian Gold Ice-axe award will be named. The journalistic works shining development of mountaineering and rock-climbing will be besides, noted by honorable awards, the prize for merits at the Asian school of climbing is appropriated, honorable cups are handed over the rock-climbers representing the countries of Asia in competitions and unique projects.
In general, in Seoul it should be cheerful. We will watch succession of events.

В конце 2011 года в городе Сеул (Южная Корея) пройдет церемония вручения приза Золотой Ледоруб Азии (Asian Piolet d’Or). Как стало уже обычным, компетентным жюри, составленным из ведущих горовосходителей и журналистов, будут подведены итоги года среди команд азиатских стран. То есть, в рамках Фестиваля организаторам хочется обозначить важные достижения за прошедший год, приоритетные направления в альпинизме и способы их реализации. И конечно же, вручить приз за наиболее актуальное, по общему мнению, восхождение альпинистов Азии, дать оценку интересным проектам.
По имеющейся на сегодняшний момент информации к участию в Фестивале приглашены четыре команды за восхождения:

Интересно, что в Азиатском конкурсе будут участвовать спортсмены Италии и США. Напомним, что в 2009 году команда Моро-Урубко, рассматривавшаяся за зимнее восхождение на Макалу, как один из главных претендентов, тоже участвовала в номинации.
Фестиваль Золотой Ледоруб Азии – 2011 пройдет с интересной программой общения спортсменов и прессы. Корейские альпинисты долгое время являют собой пример увлеченности и настойчивости в достижении поставленных целей – примером можно назвать прохождение новых маршрутов на Эверест и Талай-Сагар. Так же, они зарекомендовали себя знатоками высотных восхождений. Так, среди 27 обладателей титула «Корона Гималаев» за восхождения на все четырнадцать вершин выше 8000 метров – пять человек представители «Страны Утренней свежести».
Горовосходительские клубы и другие общества Южной Кореи включают в себя по нескольку тысяч участников, альпинистская периодика ежемесячно выходит тысячными тиражами.
Собственно, рассмотрение маршрутов-номинантов пройдет утром 04 ноября. И по сложившейся традиции в этот же вечер будет назван обладатель Золотого Ледоруба Азии. Кроме того, будут отмечены почетными наградами журналистские работы, освещавшие развитие альпинизма и скалолазания, присвоен приз за заслуги в азиатской школе горовосхождений, вручены почетные кубки скалолазам, представлявшим страны Азии в соревнованиях и уникальных проектах.
В общем, в Сеуле должно быть весело. Будем следить за развитием событий.
